Dabu Blue Blue and White Mud Resist Striped Block Print Cotton Shawl

Pacific blue alternates with white on this handcrafted cotton shawl to evoke dawn flowers. Aftab works in the ancient Rajasthani dabu print technique to craft a beautiful shawl. Printing blocks are dipped in a mixture of mud, which is stamped onto the cloth to create the motifs. When dry, the fabric is dipped in a bath of indigo dye, thus dabu is known as a mud resist print.

Because of their handcrafted nature, no two dabu prints are ever identical.
